Notice Regarding Waitlist and New Appointments
Due to an exceptionally high demand for services, our current waitlists are longer than usual. If you need immediate assistance or alternative resources, please consider reaching out to other local providers for support during this time. Please also note: Given that we are a training clinic, we are not able to provide court-mandated psychological evaluations nor can our clinicians testify in legal proceedings. We are also not able to consult with legal personnel (e.g., lawyers) about the assessment.

We offer a number of psychological assessments at the Harris Center.
Initial Intake and Diagnostic Assessment:
Effective treatment begins with effective assessment. We conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments to ensure that the optimal treatment program is prescribed for your needs. The assessment process begins with an initial consultation with a Harris Center Coordinator, including initial paperwork, questionnaires, and a diagnostic interview. Typically, following the assessment and a waitlist period, clients are assigned a therapist and begin treatment. In some circumstances (e.g., documentation for school/work accomodations), people may want a comprehensive diagnostic assessment but are not interested in seeking treatment at the Harris Center.
Psychological Testing:
Intellectual, neuropsychological, and personality assessments for adults may be obtained at the center. The assessment fee is $500 and is an out-of-pocket expense, as we do not accept health insurance. That said, we may be able to accept FSA/HSA cards for in-person payments. The full balance must be paid at the first appointment or can be split in half across the two testing appointments, if applicable. UK staff and students are eligible for a 10% discount on assessment services at the Harris Center. A selection of the assessments we offer include:

To sign up for a phone screen (NEW PATIENTS: Schedule an Initial Phone Screen), please visit this link.

General Assessment Process for ADHD and Learning Disabilities:
For attention deficit/hyperactivity (ADHD) and learning disability assessments, the entire process will take at least 1 month to complete, starting at the first in-person appointment. Report-writing may take a few weeks to complete; clinicians will need all of the completed take-home questionnaires to complete this report. After the report is written and reviewed by a supervisor, the feedback session will be scheduled. During the feedback session, clinicians will go over the assessment results and may provide recommendations based on the assessment. The entire process is outlined below:
